What a guest sees on check-in is what they’ll still see after a few nights’ use.
It’s also the format almost everyone owns and sleeps under at home. There’s no adjustment guests have to make, no unfamiliar oversized cover to figure out — it just feels like normal bedding.
Where hotel-style falls short
Hotel-style, or “open bag style,” covers skip the buttons entirely and are cut deliberately larger than the duvet, so the extra fabric can be tucked under the mattress for a smooth, stretched finish. That look works well the moment housekeeping has just made the bed — but it’s a look, not a fit. With nothing to hold the duvet in position inside the cover, it’s free to move around as soon as someone actually sleeps in it. The tucked-under edges loosen, and the neat finish guests saw on arrival doesn’t last.
